Yearly Planner

Year 1

  • Elected and term starts due January
  • Orientation meeting with SIAM staff due February
  • Conference/Business Meeting (SIAM annual meeting)
    • 2021: July 19-21
  • SIAM Fellow nomination due October
    • 2021: October 20th

Year 2

  • Chair check-in with SIAM Staff + VP at Large
  • Charter Submission due early May
  • Nominating Committee due mid-June
  • Charter approved at Annual Meeting, around July
  • Nominating Committee proposes candidates by late August/early September
  • Candidate statements collected September-October
  • Mid-October elections start
  • Late November elections end
  • Candidates publicly announced December before start of the new term

2022 Apr Set up a selection committee for the Early Career prize 2022 charter renewal 2022 minisymposium at the SIAM Annual Meeting 2023 summer/fall GD conference possibly as part of the Geometry Summit
