Title: Stochastic Multiscale Methods: Mathematical Analysis and Algorithms

An NSF-funded workshop entitled "Stochastic Multiscale Methods: Mathematical Analysis and Algorithms" will take place at the University of Southern California on August 10-11, 2009. This workshop will bring together mathematicians, mechanicians, and computational scientists with a view to identify challenges and opportunities in physics, theory and algorithms, associated with stochastic multiscale methods. The workshop is co-chaired by Roger Ghanem, Boris Rozovsky and George Papanicolaou.

Additional information about the workshop can be found on the web at: http://venus.usc.edu/Multiscale-Workshop09/
